First, let me say that Kerry over at Totally Target is awesome at posting Target deals. Did you know you can print Target coupons from their website? Not only that but you can use 1 Target STORE coupon and 1 Manufacturer's coupon on a single item? Once you have mastered the sale and the coupon stack, I consider you a Target master! Now on to the deals:
You can print this coupon right now by liking them on Facebook:
-$1/1 Pirate’s Booty Limited Edition Spongebob Squarepants Package on Facebook
I was actually able to print it twice. Just hit your back button until you need to enter your info. Enter it again, and it will print another one. Remember: you can print coupons in black ink only and the stores will accept them.
This one is actually a rebate deal. I have never been a fan of rebates. I always forget to get them in the mail on time or lose a receipt. But recently, I got a $15 Prepaid Visa from a Proctor and Gamble rebate from a month ago, and I am now a rebate enthusiast!
Just buy 3 of the specially marked boxes seen above and enter the codes at: pillsbury.com/grocerycash. The codes must be entered by December 31, 2012 and there is a limit of one rebate per household.
I'm hoping to print another set of Spongebob coupon from my laptop. Put those extra computers to use and print some more coupons. Most sites and links let you print 2 per computer. These treats will be great for Buddy's birthday party coming up. That is if they make it around this house that long!
Thanks again, totallytarget for the great deals!

Recovery Mode Activate!
We are definitely in Recovery mode at this house today. This weekend has been a rollercoaster ride of illness. We all caught some 24 hour stomach bug. And of course, not at the same time. Pumpkin started us off late Thursday/early Friday, and hubs ended it last night (fingers crossed). That's one of the many things that no one warns you about when you become a mom. I knew my kids would get sick with going to daycare and preschool. I did not know how that sickness would roll through my family like a crashing wave.
On to happier things, the new Evergreen IGA Great Grocery Giveaway coupon has been released. 4lb sugar for $1.49. This is an AWESOME deal. I will be trying to pick up a few this week. Remember you can print the coupon right from the site! You can only redeem one coupon per day per family.
I'm going to do something new this week, specifically to post on the blog. I usually tend to get a copy of the local inserts from my in-laws paper each week, and order any additional coupons online singley. However, with the help of a deal from Billings Gazette Today's Deals I recently purchased my own Sunday subscription for $13 for the entire year. Only $.25 per issue and I will definitely make at least that back each week from the little bit of coupons inside. This week I am going to order some whole inserts from a clipping service. I usually don't like doing this because of the high shipping costs. But it's important to compare what Montana consumers receive as opposed to other areas in the country.
Due to the sickness, I haven't had a chance to take a close look at the inserts from yesterday's paper. I do hope to get that done by this evening and posted.

Albertson's Ad Highlights 04/25 - 05/01
After looking at the ad, it is a slow week for deals; however they did just finish a long line of cool promotions, so that is to be expected. If you are new to couponing, this is a good week to just get started with some simple sales. No need to go crazy and try to order a gazillion coupons from Ebay!
The smoking hot deal of the week is still the Ballpark Meat Hot Dogs! They are on buy one get one free sale this week, with a price of $3.49 each. There is one coupon out there that would work nicely:
$0.75/2 Ball Park Product, exp. 5/13/12 (Red Plum 04/15/12)
Albertson's DOES accept coupons on an item that is made free buy a buy one get one free sale. The last 3 cashiers (not all at the same time) tried to deny the coupons at first. A check of the coupon policy in the binders at their registers revealed the details. Yes you can use a coupon on the free item, just as long as you don't end up getting money back on that part of the transaction. So if something were on sale buy one get one free @ $1.99, I wouldn't be able to use 2 - $1.00 off coupons, because then they would owe me a penny. $3.98 - $1.99 free one - $1.00 coupon - $1.00 coupon = $-.01.
On this deal you'd be fine because it isn't THAT good haha! If you plan on doing this deal, then wait until 04/29 to do it. That is when a Catalina starts for BallPark hotdogs.
More In-Ad deals:
Nature Valley Granola bars on sale at $2.50Buy 5 boxes receive $5.00 coupon good on your next purchase.
It's like paying $1.50 per box if you factor in your $5 cat.
Check the boxes for either $1/2 or $2/2 peelies to increase the savings.
Platter Style bacon (from the butcher block) $2.99/lb
Old El Paso Dinner Kits $1.69
Select Dole Salad packs $.88
The back page ad promo is looking pretty lackluster to me. I am planning on doing some Tidy Cats transactions. There is a $1/1 manufacturer's coupon that expires 04/29/12. There is the 27 lb. in the plastic bucket on sale for $11.99. Also, there are the 20 lb. bags on sale for 2/$10.
When you spend $20 in back page products, you receive a $5.00 coupon good on your next purchase. You can use your $5 to purchase any other groceries or products (for the most part), but I like to try and roll them onto my next deal.
For example, if I want Nature Valley Granola Bars and Tidy Cats, then I would do this:
Transaction #1
Buy 5 boxes of Nature Valley @ 2.50 each = 12.50
Buy 1 bucket and 2 bags of Tidy cats (11.99 + 10.00) = 21.99
- 3 $1/1 Tidy Cats coupons
Total: 31.49 get back 2 $5 off next order catalinas
Transaction #2:
Buy 5 boxes of Nature Valley @ 2.50 each = 12.50
Buy 4 bags of Tidy Cats @ 5.00 each = 20.00
- 4 $1/1 Tidy Cats coupons
- 2 $5 catalinas from prev transaction
Total: 18.50 get back 2 $5 off next order catalinas
Transaction #3:
Buy 4 bags of Tidy Cats @ 5.00 each = 20.00
- 4 $1/1 Tidy Cats coupons
- 2 $5 catalinas from prev transaction
Total: $6.00 get back 1 $5 off next order catalina
So in the end, after three transactions (does not have to be done all in the same day), you will have spent $55.99 and came out with $5 off your next order catalina and:
1 bucket of Tidy Cats, 10 bags of Tidy Cats, and 10 boxes of Granola Bars, which comes out to $2.43 per item purchased.

Scouting Report at Albertson's
I had a quick chance to run by Albertson's today after work. Found a couple of deals I didn't remember seeing in the matchups last night.
Pepsi 2 Liters 4/$5.00 (also includes AMP Energy drinks)
Gold Peak Iced Tea Singles - Buy one get one free @ $1.39
Red Delicious Apples $.99/lb
Clearance:
Generic Scented Wax cubes (think Scentsy knock-off) @ $.99
Nice selection of Organic Snack Chips around $3+
Plastic Ice Cream Scoops $.10
There are others out there, but those were the highlights for me. I hate purchasing 2 Liters unless it's for parties. And we will see better deals this summer on sodas. If you are a Pepsi fan, then it's not a bad price. I'm super stoked the singles of the Gold Peak Iced Teas are on sale again AND for a much better sale price then last week. Especially if you are new to couponing and didn't get a chance to print the $.75/1 coupon when it was out.
As for the clearance, it was meh for me. I picked up the ice cream scoop for when Buddy and I make cookies next time. At ten cents, it was a bargain for me! The chips really looked cool and super tasty, but they were still too pricey for me. There were Sweet Potato Chips, Potato sticks (think french fries) in different flavors, and also some Rice Chips.
I also grabbed a physical copy of the Ad for this week. I like having it in front of me more than reading it online for some reason. I will try and post my ad matchup tonight!

Albertson's Ad Preview 04/25 - 05/01
Albertson's Hot dog or Hamburger Buns $.99 w/in-ad coupon (limit 2) - Might want to check out the current prices at your area Sweetheart Bakery outlet just in case.
Shoppers Value Milk $2.19 w/in-ad coupon (limit 2)
Essential Everyday Toaster Pastries or Fruit Snacks $.99 w/in-ad coupon (limit 4) - Pumpkin loves Pop Tarts, maybe she'll like the knock-off version too?
Ball Park Meat Franks Buy one get one free @ $4.79 - This would only be better if beef ones were included. *Hot* starting 04/29/12 there will be a catalina printing when you buy 2 Ballpark items good for $2.00 off your next order.
Mix and Match Promo - Save $5.00 on your next shopping trip when you purchase $20 in participating products in a single transaction. Note: there are many other items in this sale. I've only included the one I am after:
Tidy Cats Litter 20 lbs $5.00
This is not by any means a complete list of matchups, just the sales I like this week. To see the full matchup, visit Fabulessly Frugal.

Albertson's Round Up Trip
Woohoo! What a nice Round Up event we had this week at Albertson's. Not as spectacular as it's been in the past, but still awesome! Before I detail my transaction, there are some items missing. My wonderful shopping partner left with some free goodies, too!
Purchased:
20 Yoplait Lactose Free Yogurts - On sale 10/$7.00 = $14.00
12 McCormick Grill Mates Spices - On sale 2/$3.00 = $18.00
8 McCormick Marinades - On sale $1.49 (Buy 2 get one free) = $8.94
2 Orville Redenbacher Pop Up Bowl Popcorn 3 pks - 2/$4.00 = $4.00
6 lbs. of Boneless Skinless Chicken Breasts @ $1.99 per lb. = $11.90
1 measly box of Trix cereal - Regular Price (ugh) $4.19
1 16 oz. Diet Pepsi - $1.59 (hubby asked for soda and I completely spaced it, until the checkout line!)
1 gallon 2% Milk - Regular Price (outrageous) $3.39
Total before Coupons: $66.01
Coupons Used:
- 20 $.20 off one Yoplait Lactose Free Yogurt manufacturer's coupons. Because Albertson's round up to a dollar only includes coupons worth $.24 and up, this coupon quadrupled to $.80 off each item instead. This took off a total of $16.00.
- 20 $.75 off one McCormicks herb, spices, or marinades - Rounded Up to $1.00 = took off total of $20.00
- 1 Free ConAgra Product coupon = Took off $2.00 for the popcorn
- 1 $.50 off one ConAgra Product coupon - Rounded Up to $1.00 (I had an issue with the last box of Pop Up bowls I had purchased. I emailed the company and they sent me coupons!)
- 1 $1.50 off one box of cereal (Albertson's coupon - the only reason I bought this)
Total spent Out of Pocket: $25.51
From my receipt:
Today's total savings: $91.93 (off shelf price)
That is a savings of: 78%!
I did have some issues with this shopping trip though. The cashier did not want to accept coupons on the items made free by the Buy 2 Get 1 Free sale. However, once she reviewed her coupon policy, she allowed them. There were 2 policies in the binder by the register. The second policy is a FAQ more than anything else and it details the acceptance of coupons on the items. I made a mistake and didn't purchase the marinades in quantities of three to maximize the sale. But even the best planned trips don't turn out the way you want them to all of the time! So do not stress when your coupon trips aren't 100% successful.

Planning and New deals!
Tomorrow I plan to hit up Albertson's and see what I can get during the round up. I've got coupons for some money making yogurt, cheap popcorn, free spices, and a little more. I will post pictures from my trip later tomorrow evening.
Heads up: visit Evergreen IGA to enter their Grocery Giveaway. You can enter daily and also score a coupon for $.79 half gallon of milk. It's limit one per family per day.

My very first blog post!
Welcome! I am so very excited to introduce you to my blog: Montana Savers! My goal is to provide coupon matchups for Montana and eventually, Wyoming. Too often I found myself bummed when checking my favorite coupon blogs and finding out we weren't included in a deal. The idea for this blog started when Albertson's decided to no longer offer their version of double coupons (Twice The Value) to Montana and Wyoming customers. I know there are alot of you out there that are disappointed by this too. That is where this blog comes in. Montana and Wyoming couponers need a place to come together and show the companies out there that we are worth their marketing strategies.
Over the next few days, I will start posting some helpful links and other useful information. If you are ready to go, Albertson's has a great Coupon Round Up going on right now through Tuesday April 24th. All coupons $.25 or more round up to $1!
